I travelled to Emma's shop in order to try on a Follea wig. I flew in especially for my consultation, to find that she had only ordered in just the one colour (I was told that it was just too difficult to obtain all three shades and that she had decided to choose the colour that she thought best matched the photo I had sent her). I found the hair piece she ordered in for me, to be far too different from my own hair colour, it clashed horribly with my skin tone and was obviously completely wrong. There was another hair piece from Follea (more expensive) in a colour I did prefer, but unfortunately, Emma had not bothered to order in the correct size, so I just had to try and "imagine" what it might look like with it just simply placed randomly on top of my head. I spent a great deal of time at this salon, but felt that once I'd decided that the Follea hair piece wasn't for me, the interest in me as a customer just dissolved. I had been reassured on the telephone that during my consultation I would have the opportunity to try on different options (other brands) but as I said above, Emma just lost interest in me as a client once it was established that I wouldn't be purchasing a Follea wig. I was not exactly forced out of the salon, but I was informed that another customer had unexpectedly returned to the salon for a second try on (of a Follea hair piece) and that I needed to make my mind up quickly as they suddenly needed to accommodate another client's needs. I found the whole experience at the salon to be a very frustrating experience. If it's not bad enough to be ill and losing your hair, to travel all this way and to not have even bothered to get hold of the requested colours in the Follea hair that I had asked for was inexcusable. I heard a girl working in the salon say "gosh, that was lucky, we only just got that Follea hair colour in on time, well at least she has got one to try on". I can only assume that comment was referring to my hair, and later heard the comment "we only just got the hair in this morning, but our client was already flying in from south of France". I really cannot understand the slapdash attitude to this salon; they are playing with people's feelings and are trying to push you into making decisions about expensive wig brands by making you think that this is the only route open to you. I have subsequently found out that there is a specialist wig maker in London called Mandeville London which will make the most beautiful, real looking hair. It's expensive (more than Follea), but it's hand made especially for you and is made from the finest European hair imaginable. There is also another place in London called Trendco, who also make tailor made, natural wigs to your specification. If you are someone looking for alternative hair, I would look at these other places before making a trip to Sheffield and being talked into buying Follea hair. Nothing beats made to measure; no slip, no stress, no worries. If you want hair a little sooner than it takes to get a made to measure wig, then you might also want to consider researching into a local Jewish wig maker as they have been making alternative hair for women all over the world for Jewish religious reasons and are extremely helpful to others in need of hair. If you google Milano Wigs in the USA and contact them via Facebook, they will kindly put you in touch with people in the UK and in France that have ready made, natural hair ready for you to try on. As for me, I was fortunate enough to be able to travel to the USA for my needs. Much better choice and service there. Wake up UK!!

I have been a regular customer of Emma's for over a year now, having had a great consultation, and now Emma & Aspire are my regular supplier of my preferred choice of wig. The staff are incredible, welcoming and very friendly, and nothing is too much travel. I understand that they cannot stock everything, but I also trust their impeccable judgement when considering a new style, and frankly, they are happy to tell me if a certain style or colour wouldn't suit. Thank you Emma and all at Aspire xxx Paula xxx

The following is on behalf of my partner after travelling long distance to Emma's shop over 2 weeks ago to look into trying to a get a wig for her. Initially my partner found the consultation as a whole a good service, however she was disappointed to be told Emma did not have the Jon Renau - Gwyneth wig in stock to try on and only was shown one Jon Renau blonde. This was dispite my partner being told prior to the appointment that the Gwyneth wig would be in the shop and that a variety of Jon Renau blond wigs would be in. When my partner called Aspire to book the consultation, she explained that the sole reason she was booking was that she wanted to see the Gwyneth wig and that she would be travelling long distance, the reason for travelling so far is Aspires is an official Jon Renau stockist. Emma was very friendly and decent at the appointment and for this reason my partner didn't want to make an issue about the wig that she was after not being there. She suffers with ill health and due to the distance travelling we stayed overnight at a B&B, I myself took time off work to take her and so it was very frustrating that it seemed an expensive wasted journey. My partner did try other styles and colours in Jon Renau and Ellen Willie wigs, so got an idea of sizes. A few days after returning home my partner emailed Emma through the website enquiring about getting in some of the Jon Renau wigs that were in the colour and style she was looking for, at the consulation Emma said this was possible, she was able to order them as long as they were returned within a certain time frame. Sadly Emma did not return her email, my partner received an email confirmation to say it has been received, and has also made numerous attempts at phoning, and has left a voicemail on her mobile. I explained to my partner that there could be a genuine reason why Emma hadn't replied, and that she may have been ill, but it's clear on her Twitter & Facebook page that this wasn't the case, and both showed numerous updates. It's such a shame there has been no reply. Emma did seem really friendly at the consultation, my partner suffers a lot of anxiety and it took a lot to go to the appointment, she is desperate to purchase a wig due to hair thinning and was a genuine customer. All Emma had to do was say no if she was unable to get any of the wigs in, or at least reply and say she was unable to help, but to not reply to someone and ignore them, especially when they informed you that they suffered anxiety at a consultation is poor service.
