This was my first time ever having my hair coloured, and I am so grateful I chose to come here. My stylist, Magda, took her time to talk through what I wanted, what would suit me, and what would work best for my hair. I felt completely listened to and reassured throughout the whole process. I had a balayage without root colour, toner, wash, cut and finish. The end result is absolutely beautiful — soft, natural and exactly what I hoped for. As someone new to colouring their hair, I really appreciated Magda’s kindness, patience and expertise throughout. I left feeling so confident and genuinely cared for. Thank you so much!

First time visit to The Hair Company at Ben’s Yard in Ely today. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t quite meet my expectations. After checking in, I ended up waiting around 20 minutes with no clear communication about the delay. I asked a couple of staff members, but it seemed no one was quite sure what was happening. They were all very apologetic once they twigged and I was eventually seen at 10:50am. The stylist was friendly and the cut was ok. Luckily I wasn’t in a rush, but clearer communication and timelines would have made a big difference. Overall, the experience wasn’t what I would expect for a £56 haircut (and that’s the cheapest cut they offer!). Hopefully the salon can improve on the customer experience going forward.
