The Glasgow Clinic

I was unhappy with my hair loss for a very long time. I wanted to do something about it, yet I could never overcome the reservations that I had about surgery. What finally enabled me to move forward was meeting Dr McCluskey. It was my trust in her that allowed me to proceed. I have no regrets about my decision, and I am pleased with the results. The actual surgery turned out not to be a big deal. Apart from sitting in one spot for some time, there was no discomfort. Everyone I met at the clinic was incredibly friendly and made me feel at ease. Despite my initial dread, the day turned out to be quite pleasant. Before very long, it was time to go home. That was my experience. Anyone considering surgery should do their research. Some clinics are unethical and promise results that are not deliverable. Each individual has to decide for themselves where to place their trust. My only advice is to meet Dr McCluskey. If you do so, I am confident that you will be convinced of her ethics and that she will help you to make the right decision for you.

Here is my review of The Glasgow Clinic after my hair transplant of 1800 grafts in May 2024. I went to the clinic after discussing with a friend's brother who had been for a procedure some years prior , and which had went well for him. I met with Dr McCluskey who assessed my hair loss which was mainly at the temples and around the front of my scalp, we decided on a plan to boost these areas and concentrating on restoring a natural looking hairline. On day of surgery around 8a.m, Dr McCluskey and all of her staff were very welcoming and prepared me for the procedure in the comfortable surgery area. While mildly sedated , I was aware of how hard they were all working to maximise the grafts in the time available and they worked well into the evening to ensure I got exactly the number I had paid for. After surgery , I followed all the advice given and had to wait patiently for some months but started to notice the grafts and their outline coming in at a satisfying rate. After 6 -9 months I was feeling so much more confidence as I occasionally perform music in public and for many years had been feeling a bit down due to the failing hairline, it was this that led me to seeking some solution to the problem. I can confidently recommend the Glasgow Clinic and all their staff to take care of any hair restoration needs you may have , they are totally professional and caring in their approach and use the very latest hair restoration tech available. It is an amazing time in history when this problem can be addressed with modern medical skills and I am very glad I took the step to explore the procedure and have absolutely no regrets!

The Glasgow Clinic is an honest, genuine high quality service for hair restoration that actually cares about it's clients for the service and not for quantity and profit. In a cosmetic industry that has recently become so commodified, they prioritize service, care, safety and delivering the highest quality of realistic, long term results for clients. After researching and visiting various clinics, I was drawn the most to The Glasgow Clinic for their honesty and genuine transparency. We were able to have a great discussion about the latest innovations in hair restoration and figure out a plan for my treatment. On the day of my surgery, I was a little nervous at first but the team of excellent staff guided me through the whole process and I soon knew I was in safe hands. Overall I am eternally grateful for my treatment as it has genuinely changed my life for the better and I could not recommend The Glasgow Clinic enough!

I couldn’t recommend Pauline and her team enough. After doing lots of research and visiting many different clinics, I knew as soon as I met Pauline that this was the only place I was going to go. She is thorough at explaining everything and between her and her excellent staff the attention to detail is second to none. On the day of the transplant I was feeling a little anxious but the full team soon had me completely at ease. The results have been way better than I could ever imagine and I’m absolutely delighted and feeling much more confident!

Update: photos show my progress since last year. I had iPRF at The Glasgow Clinic. I was given plenty of information before the procedure. When I got there, the rooms were bright, warm and comfortable and I was made to feel very welcome. During treatment, we talked about each stage before it happened. I was apprehensive as it was my first time getting this particular treatment and I didn't know what to expect in terms of discomfort. But Dr McCluskey told what people who've experienced it generally say about what it feels like, and that really helped settle my nerves. We also chatted about the equipment and how it works, and that was really interesting. In the end, getting my own concentrated blood products injected into my scalp was actually totally painless for me personally, so I had nothing to worry about, and I'm looking forward to seeing the results. Even though it takes me a few hours travel to get to this clinic, I feel it was well worth the extra time just for how good the service was, both practically and in terms of how well everything was communicated.
