I cannot recommend Here Come The Blondes highly enough — this place has quite literally changed how I feel about going to the salon. After a traumatising experience at another salon — where dying my hair once caused a shocking allergic reaction and even hospitalisation, and, on another occasion, my scalp was treated so roughly that hair was pulled with the brush — I was understandably nervous about trusting anyone again. But from my very first consultation with Demi, the owner and stylist at Here Come The Blondes, I felt heard, supported, and genuinely cared for. I told her my full history: the trauma, the fear of chemicals, and the sense that I couldn’t safely go blonde anywhere. She didn’t brush it off. Instead, she took my concerns seriously and did three separate patch tests to find a formula that my scalp could tolerate — eventually discovering a colour mix that avoided the irritants (like ammonia and PPD) that had caused my previous reactions. That level of care is incredibly rare. When I finally booked in for a full head balayage + cut, it delivered everything I’d hoped for. The “you get what you pay for” adage turned out to be absolutely true in this case: from the comfort of the salon, to Demi’s meticulous attention to detail, to the final result — it all screamed quality. I walked out feeling not just beautiful, but safe. My hair felt light, healthy, and vibrant, without the sting of regret or worry. Beyond the technical skill, there was a warmth and empathy in the process that made all the difference. I felt like I was in a space where my wellbeing mattered above all. My hair looks beautiful! I have never had a good experience at a salon and each time I left crying. This was the opposite with Demi. She was helpful and hit every nail on the head. I had a harsh line in my hair from another hairdresser and Demi has made it look like it was never there. Demi was also so nice and very knowledgeable. She was very patient with me and my tender scalp. 10/10 would recommend!

The wonderful Demi has been doing my hair for nearly 3 years now and I will NEVER go anywhere else! She listens intently and will always try her absolute best not only to work her magic to make my hair look better than I ever thought possible but also to recommend what’s best for the hair condition, the budget, my lifestyle and for me as a person. I’ve had so many bad or just neutral experiences at other hairdressers, especially when it comes to colour, but every single time with Demi I leave feeling over the moon. She often suggests subtle differences to the colour each time but it always looks great and grows out beautifully. I now get so many compliments on my hair. And aside from her expertise, it must be said what a genuinely lovely and friendly person Demi is - spending time with her in her perfect little salon is always a joy.
