After being diagnosed with a rare form of alopecia (LPP) a few years ago I went to see Terry at Skalptec. Straight away i was impressed with the set up in Burscough and Terry is very genuine and knowledgeable which instantly puts you at ease. After researching SMP clinics in the North West for quite a while Skalptec really stood out. Once you meet Terry his passion and knowledge of the SMP industry is clear to see. I previously had botched SMP where it all merged and had a blue tint in certain lighting and looked unrealistic then had a low density hair transplant aiming to cover this however as I am a Norwood 7 this was not realistic, I had no option but to get the SMP lasered off which then slowly started to cause the transplanted hairs to fall out gradually, with all of this happening I was in panic mode and researched everything I could and my only option was to get the most reputable, reliable and skillfull SMP technician I could and that ended up being Terry after various reviews, searches and clients statements about him, I called up Skalptec immediately and spoke with Terry and felt comfortable straight away and at ease, I went in for my consultation and Terry was very informative and explained the entire process and I knew I was in the right hands. Terry had been through a similar process to me and I could feel his empathy towards my situation, the cost of the procedure was a no brainier and there is no set price per session, you pay for the treatment you want and Terry will then perform as many treatments as you need until you get the result you desire as this can be done in a couple of sessions or slightly more but there is no completion until Terry and the client deem it to be perfect and then the only additional cost are top up treatments at a significantly lower price that will be needed in the future. My previous SMP experience were priced for three sessions and then I had to pay additional on top of that so even though I was unhappy with the result I could not do anything about this without paying significantly more. Terry is a lifesaver and he cares about his work and his clients, he has a wealth of experience and his SMP tech and equipment is very advanced, old school SMP acts more of a stain on the head compared to actually looking like a shaved head, I can get away with using an electric shaver to blend in my sides to the top as it looks like I have a shaved head and not a razor head that I’ve had to bic. My transplanted hairs have started to grow back and blend nicely with the smp however as these hairs are very thin then without SMP they would look ridiculous so I choose to shave them very short anyway as Terry’s treatment makes it look class. If you are considering SMP then choose Skalptec and Terry, he will change your life.

I have recently completed my 4th session with Terry from Skalptec and I’m extremely happy with the results. My friends and family say my Scalp-Micro-Pigmentation has made me look 10-15 years younger. In a matter of weeks I’ve gone from having thinning hair at almost 65 years of age, to having my hairline restored with having a lot more density to my existing hair. Terry told me at the start of my SNP journey it’s a process and my head will look better after each session. After the 3rd session, I wondered how the look of my head could be improved any further because I was really happy with my results but after the 4th session my SMP framed my face even more and looks totally natural. I couldn’t be happier. Before having SMP I watched a number of ‘YouTube’ videos. Many people said the procedure is totally painless. I can assure you from my own experience it’s not pain free, and it is painful at times depending on where on my head Terry was working on. The pain was bearable though and definitely worth it. I have absolutely no regrets in having SMP and choosing Terry from Skalptec.
