How fortunate was I to find Delia in Stirling? Not the wig 'shop' that I presumed at all. I have alopecia and lost all confidence in myself, to do a customer facing roll in Stirling for the month of Christmas. I bought my wig in Portugal, where I live but I don't speak the language enough, and I so struggled with it. It's not as easy as it looks! She taught me how to secure it on my head in a variety of ways as opposed to just putting it on my head and hoping it won't 'pop' off! As I said, "It's not as easy as it looks'! She also thought the front was too heavy and so gave me a trim. Thirty minutes later I felt much better and so I left with a variety of pins, clips and a bandage to secure it. And financially lighter at £45.00 for those thirty minutes.

I bought a real hair wig a few years ago, but it lay in a box because no one was prepared to colour and cut it - until I met Delia at The Wig Dresser. She has truly changed my life! Delia coloured and cut the hair piece to absolute perfection and now it looks and feels amazing. I finally feel like myself again, and my confidence has been restored. I've always had fine hair, but as I'm getting older it is getting thinner as well. My hair doesn't style well and always ends up completely flat on a night out. I spoke to Delia who ordered a selection of wigs for me to try. I had a wonderful time trying them all on with Delia, great fun! I came away with 2 wigs, one long and violet and one slightly more natural looking one, but still really funky. Delia styled them to suit me better and I love them. Delia is genuinely a lovely person, she allowed me time to try and explore many styles of wigs. She immediately put me at ease at what can be a daunting time. Actually realising that the beautiful hair I had once had was gone with just some thin horrible hair in its place. When I left I felt like a new woman with beautiful hair and a smile on my face.
