I’m very pleased with the experience I had at Alya. It was my first time going to Alya after a friend recommended them. Gemma was so lovely and very skilled. She understood my hair very well and gave really good advice on how to style/dry my hair. I was really pleased with my haircut! Gemma made me feel relaxed from the moment I walked in to the moment I left. I will definitely be back and have already recommended Alya to friends after getting lots of compliments on my new hairdo!

Gemma is quite possibly the Queen 👸 of hair! I’ve been coming to Gemma for just under a year now for colour and Nano extensions, and she is unbelievably knowledgeable in every aspect of colouring, fitting, and styling extensions. I recently wanted to switch things up to blend my extensions more seamlessly with my natural length and colour, and she instantly understood exactly what I was looking for. The new cut is absolutely perfect 👌🏻 and blends so naturally with my own hair — I couldn’t be happier with the result! Not only is Gemma incredibly talented, but she’s also so friendly and genuinely lovely. It’s always such a nice, relaxing experience being in the salon. I wouldn’t go anywhere else! ✨

I attended for a consultation as was suggested by one of the stylist, which should not have taken too long. Whilst I totally understand and appreciate that appointments can run over, I would have expected to be informed about it on booking in and at least offered a drink while I waited. After 35 mins of waiting past my appointment time, and no explanation for it, I excused myself and left as I had my husband waiting in the car. If I had been informed, I could have asked him to come and pick me back up later, as I would have done if it was a styling appointment. Sadly, I had high hopes but was left very disappointed.
